The kids head into town and try to find an adult, fighting off zombies the entire way.

Despite being a bit put off by the bait-and-switch title and first issue, I wanted to give this comic a second chance to impress me on merit alone. This issue is very fun and will definitely appeal to the target audience (older kids and maybe to tweens). There is tons of zombie-fighting action. The potato gun is a nice addition, but it's sorely underused. I like how the kids help each other, and it's not just the boys "saving" the girls. There's one extremely corny line that had me groaning.

I like that they meet an adult who is limited in their ability to help; that means it's really still up to the kids, but they have someone with a bit more world experience and maturity to help with the planning side of things.

This issue is almost entirely action, which is fun but didn't leave any room for character development. We do get to see the kids bonding some as they tell funny camp stories to pass the travel time. I also have to wonder what kind of small town they live in where they went camping only a mile from downtown .... I admit to being curious how the kids will take back their town.
