Goldie rescues Mr. Ludwig with help from Diane. The Russians give chase in their car, but the mysterious people in the helicopter intervene.

Goldie infiltrates easily, but I expected her to blend into this environment given her job. I love Goldie's quick thinking with the coffee and that she's totally bold and unafraid.

I'm still shocked by the international espionage aspect of this series, but I'm really glad we got an explanation for the whole situation. The way it was explained fits in nicely with the pacing and overall feel and logic of the series. That includes adults explaining things to Goldie well beyond "need to know" and offering her a job! I was glad to see translations for the few Russian words provided.

The art is great; I especially like the angled panels for the stairwell part of the chase scene. The window-breaking scene is the least believable aspect in this issue -- mostly because of how Goldie barrels into Mr. Ludwig to break through the window -- but it's part and parcel with the "action movie" storyline. I don't know how Diane knew to be ready with the car either, but that's a minor point. I enjoyed seeing how Goldie and Diane offered different skills during the car chase scene. The brief lines about trusting each other seemed superficial because Goldie didn't wait for Diane's reply like Diane waited for Goldie's. However, seeing such a "cool" figure like Diane barf due to nerves added to her character and made me like her more as I see her as more realistic.

I can't help but like Goldie taking the initiative with Diane, but I'm surprised Diane reciprocated given the difference in their ages (perhaps Diane isn't as old as I thought she was).

A thoroughly enjoyable issue and the conclusion of the first arc of the story. I can't wait to see what adventure is next for Goldie!
