Michael is an Elvis fan. AJ is a journalist. The both are on their way to see Larry, a musician who says he has a lost Elvis recording. Michael and AJ cross paths and both are changed.

I first heard of this movie through Ryan Brewer, a local acquaintance of mine who was the Director of Photography for the film. I didn't really know anything else about it, but as it was to premiere locally, I thought I'd give it a try.

It was an enjoyable and good movie. What struck me most was the quality of everything -- the script, the acting, the production. It was indie for sure, but it sure didn't lack for anything as far as I could tell.

While the cast were all good, Bridgett Hill gave the movie that spark, that wouldn't have been there otherwise. From what I understand, the role originally was for a young man, but they changed it and it was for the better.

I did get a kick out of seeing Ryan in the film, in a bit part as an Elvis impersonator, but I was more impressed with his filming skills than anything else.

The only downside is that I wished this had been a full length movie, as the premise supports that and the title "Never Been To Graceland" is metaphorical as well as literal.

If you get a chance to see this, do so.
