Credits Grade: 3 This title now includes a subtitle: "The Story of Mafuyu's Final Year", so we're in the last arc. It's Mafuyu's senior year. Miyabi's younger sister is a first year student, and she causes Mr. Saeki to resign! Someone's stirring up trouble between this school and a rival one.This volume is tedious ... and confusing. I'm unable to follow it well enough to grasp what's going on, and I think that's because the manga-ka isn't really letting us know. It's a lot of talking and jumping around, and the pieces don't fit together well. Plus, it's a weird section of time -- the troublemaking seniors have graduated and the incoming class is all sheltered non-delinquents. Things should be smooth, but they're not, and it's all really weird. Miyabi's home life is explained, which gives a possible reason for his sister going to this school even though she said she wouldn't and why she had her sights set on taking out Mr. Saeki. The new teacher is really strange, seems to have a bad memory, and misinterprets what the Public Morals Club is about, but the story makes such a big deal about all of that, that I wonder what's really going on. And as weird as the school rivalry situation is, at least it's some semblance of normalcy in this volume (relatively speaking). I have absolutely no idea where this story is going at this point. Nor do I have any clue who or what aspects I'm supposed to be invested in. Everything is oddly detached and doesn't have the same flow or interactions. If you've enjoyed the series thus far it makes sense to read the final arc, but this is an extremely rough transition! Written: February 16, 2018
