Credits Writer: Box Brown Penciler: Ilaria Catalani Inker: Ilaria Catalani Colorist: Eleonora Bruni Letterer: Jim Campbell Cover Artist: Jorge Corona Grade: 6 Tommy's grandpa is sharing more of his alien conspiracy theories with Tommy. Tommy's dad takes the babies to a history-themed mini-golf. Then Tommy's mom takes them to a museum. Through it all, Tommy tries to prove his grandpa right.
The conspiracy theories are outlandishly crazy -- so much so, that they border on being not funny. The history-themed mini-golf is kind of awesome, in that I could totally see a mini-gold place like that existing ... and that that's what Tommy's dad wants to use to teach the babies real history. There's more humor in what Tommy's dad doesn't get right. At least Tommy's mom has the right idea by going to a museum, but like many real-world museums, there's some fantasy elements -- in this case a mural of a giant squid (which looks like an alien) fighting a whale. The imagination scene is pretty straightforward with tentacle aliens attacking the babies' spaceship, though I don't get why the aliens are interested in cookie and pizza recipes. The theory about the aliens being lizard people does allow the story to use Reptar (or in this case, a person in a Reptar suit), but the interaction here is weird in that it doesn't make any plot-relevant impression one way or the other.
This is not the strongest issue, but it's still fun and is plowing through the alien conspiracy arc, which has me curious how it will be resolved.
