History on Jed and Thorne. Andrea ends up hospitalized after her chat with Thorne results in her getting drugged. People and animals outside the Farm are showing plant aspects.

This issue wraps the first arc, though it doesn't feel like it. Rather, I have a whole bunch of questions, and there's a lot that seems random and lacking plot direction.

The history section is interesting, but it doesn't seem to fit with what we know of Jed and Thorne in present-day. Maybe it's because we're still missing pieces? The brain part doesn't really surprise me, but I have a lot of science background. This means I'm also not surprised about the people and animals outside the Farm showing signs. That being said, it does seem to be surprisingly prevalent, with some unexpected plant side effects.

Thorne's ability with her hand is creepy and cool, but things escalate quickly once that part happens. I'm pretty confused about Andrea. At first she seemed to just be a smart and capable assistant to her dad. Then we find out she's a military spy. And now she seems uncharacteristically out of sorts, which leads her to letting her guard down. Of course, what happened between the meeting with Thorne, and her being found near the river where her car was fished out, is a big fat mystery. And Thorn getting elected Mayor? Nothing about that adds up.

This is an unusual series, and I'm quite enjoying it in general. This issue in particular, however, is just lacking. Instead of concluding and arc and adding a cliffhanger / teaser, this issue flings open all the doors and wishes us luck in sorting it out.
