After a disastrous engagement with the enemy, Midna is near death -- can they find Zelda in time to save her? Even if they do, what will be the cost?

As always, the art is lovely, as well as easy to read -- no battles where you can't tell what's happening!

Not having played the game, I was shocked at a certain development in this volume! I'm not sure how I feel about it. Otherwise, I appreciate how Midna and Link's relationship has grown, though, and I enjoyed the backstory we got (mostly regarding Midna and Zelda, but a smidge on Link, too). This volume finds our heroes at the apex of their journey, now prepared for the fight ahead. Maybe it was a tad too easy at one point to get something they needed, but I suspect it will turn out to have some unforeseen consequences. And the end leaves my interest in where this is going strongly renewed, as another faction is brought onto the playing field.
