ISBN: 9781974710416 Grade: 8 Instead of celebrating her victory in winning the role of Chidori, Kyoko frets over Moko's feelings -- when she should be more worried about Kimi's reaction! Also, everyone seems determined to butt into Ren's love life; he doesn't help things by being clueless as to how his actions might be interpreted.
This volume seems to be especially soap-opera-y, making for some fun, if somewhat ridiculous, drama! While I enjoyed the arc, I'm glad that the stuff with Kimi and Koenji is finally resolved, and we're getting more interaction between Kyoko and Ren again -- and that, by the end of the volume, Sho is back on the scene. But the star of the volume for me is Yashiro, with his amusing personality and how he's always there for his charges. A sequence with him and both Kyoko and Ren is the best part of the volume, aside from the climax with Kimi and Koenji. And the situation with Kyoko and Moko is handled sweetly. I'm also looking forward to Kyoko proving herself to her costars -- and to her finally getting clued in about Ren's father, and Ren's feelings for her / lack of feelings for the woman she thinks he loves ....
