Sun and Lillie figure out why Mimikyu is so mad, and Sun makes Mimikyu an offer. Sun is hired to find Zygarde cells. The others take on Team Skull and the Ultrabeasts.

I'm glad Sun atoned for his insulting Mimikyu, but it doesn't make up for the bad attitude he had when he did the insulting (previous volume). That said, his logic for why Mimikyu should travel with him as one of his pokemon is fairly sound and based on his honest (and rude) reaction to Mimikyu. It's the best outcome for the situation, and I look forward to seeing how their relationship improves.

Sun being hired to find Zygarde cells is weird, but it does help him get closer to his goal of a million dollars (and he is relatively close, which is good, since that seems to be the only thing that motivates him). It's a shame the Zygarde cells are just a random footnote for now. Sun does reveal why he's trying to raise a million dollars, but it makes no sense.

In the fight against Team Skull and the Ultrabeasts, it's hard to tell what's going on. The Ultrabeasts are so large, and the action is mostly close-up, so I can't tell who's doing what. Moon makes a dramatic entrance, and has the best action panels (in hers, I can actually tell what's going on, so that helps). Gladion reveals the truth about Lusamine, president of the Aether Foundation. His special pokemon is able to do something against the Ultrabeasts, but most of his time is spent talking rather than fighting. So, the whole action sequence is a bust, and it even makes following the plot-important information a bit challenging.
