ISBN: 1-93151-441-0 Grade: 10 This new volume provides a little history for Rath, Thatz, Rune, and Lord Lykouleon as well as the reason they were sent to retrieve Nadil's head. Rath is still a little mysterious as he's a mischievious child, Thatz was possessed by a demon, and Rune gets a little help against a giant fish from his faerie love. Nadil seems immortal, even when the Dragon Lord decapitated him, so what are they to do?
This little bit of history gives a lot of insight into all of the characters. I'm especially glad it focused more on Lord Lykouleon and Nadil than the first book (and not just because they're sexy) — they give this book a more mature air about it than the previous. The humor's still there as well, but that too is more thought out. All of the characters, and the art in general, are beautiful; I can't get enough of it. If you're looking for a really great fantasy adventure with amazing art, then Dragon Knights is for you!
