In this issue our heroes are trying to escape from the icy planet they crashed on. Their ship is useless, but the amphibian ships of this world are not suitable for such passengers. Evinlea (one of the First) uses her powers to save them, but when Javi is wrenched from her grasp, her powers explode. Kaine now has a plan, but will it get them off this world?

This series is a new one for me, though I'm intrigued by the fact that they have characters from many of the other CrossGen comics. All of them have their limitations in Negation and thus, must work together which creates it's own complications while adding to the storyline. The cover threw me a bit because it doesn't really fit with anything going on in this issue. However, the art is wonderful. This series definitely has room to grow, but is already a pretty good read.
