Jun is not your average fashion model. Even she could tell you that, but untill recently she couldn't tell you why. Jun is confronted by a woman stalker who uses her as a tool. Jun is a devil lady — a partially evolved demon that still retains a human soul — and she must fight the full-fledged demons to protect mankind. Jun may be much more than those using her suspect so the question is, can she be controlled?

The intro/theme music of The Devil Lady is wonderfully dark and powerful — it is one of my favorites now. The opratic singing adds drama to that darkness, and brings out the nature of the beast if you will. Go Nagai has brought us yet another masterful horror, providing a new and exciting twist on demons and the fight against them. Every episode is action-packed while continueing to develop the characters and the plot. And the character designs — especially for Jun and the demons — is amazing.

I watched the subbed version first as I usually prefer the Japanese voices, but I was impressed with both the sub and the dub. And having five episodes on the first dvd is an excellent introduction to the story as a whole. I, for one, am completely hooked on this gothic tale. It is a must see for any horror lover!
