ISBN: Grade: 8 This second issue of Eden contains a story and a half. The second story is to be continued in the third issue. In the first, Chisato is a prostitute, and she loves a man who also loves her. She writes him love letters, but doesn't sign them in a way he recognizes, and he is too shy to even speak with her. When he finds a mask to wear, they can finally be together, but will they ever realize who the other is that they're together with (note writer and masked man)? The second story is a story of love met and made at a fireworks display, but then death intervenes.
Senno Knife has a gift for writing beautiful, romantic, adult titles. The characters have the world set against them, but they can still find real love. The love letters in the first story really help with the flow, and they bring out all the subtleties of the plot. The cliff-hanger on the end of the second story was perfect for making me want to read issue 3 right away. I have fallen in love with Eden art, story, and all.
