This issue of AKA picks up where the previous issue left off. Alison and Katie have managed to get into the office to steal the tape their client needs, but oh crap! they've managed to trip an alarm. Our plucky and resourceful heroines hide out from the cops in the only place they can find — a yukky dumptster. When they get back to their office and play the tape their client asked them to retrieve ... they realize that they've been duped!

The plot twist in this issue was very nice and I didn't see it coming, but once again, Dara Naraghi's attempt at writing a screwball caper comedy, a la Moonlighting with two women just doesn't have the spark that it needs. The elements for a side-splittingly funny and equally clever story are present, but the comedic and dramatic timing is just a little off.

Steve Black's art also suffers from the same inconsistencies that plagued it last issue. The cover looks really nice, but for every interior panel that looks smashing, there are at least 3 that need to be redrawn.

Better than the first issue (and I liked the fact that there was a quick re-cap in this issue) but AKA still falls short of the mark.
