Credits Creators: Jeff Smith Grade: 7 In the pile of reviews I wrote this month, I commented about how one comic had an action sequence at the beginning in which it was very difficult to tell who was who and what was happening.
In this issue of Bone, Smith has done quite the opposite. There is a battle raging, and he manages to keep the reader's eye on the main subject, and draws clear panels to show the sequence in the fight. There is no doubt who is where and what is going on, and the artwork is lovely.
The downside is that Smith is, admittedly, falling behind on his schedule because of these battle scenes it says so in his letters page. And while I think that this will be an incredible epic final sequence once it's all been collected in a trade, the single issues are coming too few and far between for them to have as much impact as floppies as they should.
