This mini-series is supposed to be about Courtney's interaction with the Coven, but I learned a good deal more about the first series' Night Things as well — especially in this last issue. I thought that the otherworld Naifeh has created was nicely detailed, and woven well into the story as a whole.

The Coven themselves were fine, although slightly stereotypical. I was wary of the formulaic Whodoneit, and did figure out who the Bad Guy was before it was revealed. What I had not anticipated in the slightest was how Courtney would react to it, and how she would handle the situation. The ending both delighted and horrified me, which I suspect was very much the idea.

This wrap-up of the second mini-series in the Courtney collection was equal to the first — lovely line work, interesting storytelling, and well worth checking out.
