Rune is journeying to the Faerie Forestto discover why the faeries are disappearing. Along the way he is found by Nohiro, who mistakes him for a girl and proposes marriage. After some explanation, Rune and Nohiro decide to work together to gain access to the water realm to help the faeries. They are soon joined by a young girl who is much more than she lets on at first. Trouble with demons is fast to follow them, but can Rune properly concentrate when Nohiro reminds him of Rath and he thinks of the knowledge he now has about who Rath really is? And meanwhile, Lord Lykouleon and Alfeegi are investigating some strange rumors in Hermosa where some new and interesting characters are introduced...

This particular volume also contains a bonus comic at the end which uses the characters from Dragon Knights, but a plot that is completely unrelated to it. It's a hilarious look at some of our favorite characters, good and bad, alive and dead.

Dragon Knights is one of my favorite manga. I simply can't put it down or get enough of it. I find the artwork breath-taking and the style quite unique, the characters are developing wonderfully with some interesting twists, and the story itself is growing into an epic tale that any lover of fantasy can become addicted to. It is also very comedic, especially in this volume with the interesting relationship that develops between Rune and Nohiro. But there are also times, especially involving Rath in some way, that get really serious, and Ohkami portrays both comedy and seriousness powerfully enough to invoke emotions and reactions from the reader.

The characters are much more complicated than simply "good" and "evil". Each has layers and history that we have yet to learn about but are, in their own way, influincing the story. Dragon Knights is truly a story like no other so don't miss out.
