Credits Grade: 9 The Great Mage Meshie explains to Kaguya the impact she and Kagami have already had on history (past and future). While Kaguya is convincing herself that she must be strong and fulfill this destiny, Shiina/Bambi is using the Pyro to destroy a Collapser. Then Kaguya speaks to all the worlds at once with the help of Gaviela, the Sage Forbidden of Meteor. She has decided not to choose one world to survive, but to choose someone who can save as many people and worlds as possible. Will Kaguya succeed where all who came before have failed?Planet Ladder's story is one that really grows on you. The world and characters Narushima has created are different from anything I've come across before. And while the story may develope at a slower pace than some might like, it does provide time for the reader to absorb exactly what is going on — if it went much faster, it would be much easier to get confused. There are many layers of plots and twists and alliances which makes for a very rich read once you get into it. The characters are still changing and evolving greatly as well. The art is wonderful. Emotions, or lack thereof, are protrayed perfectly. And immense powers are understated which conversly adds strength to that character. The drama is slowly building, and when the end of the universe arrives, that should be a climax like no other. Written: April 30, 2003
