"Come with me in the twilight of a summer night for a while. Tell me of a story never ever told in the past. Take me back to the land where my yearnings were born. The key to open the door is in your hand, now take me there to the land of twilight."

For those of you who have seen part or all of the series .hack//SIGN, you already know about the stellar art and animation. If you haven't seen it, YOU NEED TO!!! Intense, creative characters dot the landscape filled with brilliantly colored skies and animation effects that can't help but draw you in to their VR world.

With that said, a series that's so visually appealing needs to have a soundtrack that's equally appealing, and .hack//SIGN: Original Sound & Song Track 1 is it!

Fans will be happy to know that all the vocals you hear in the series are on the CD, and that lyrics (though they're already all sung in English, except for the title theme) are included in English AND Japanese (kanji-style ... no romanji). Yay!

The vocals included are Yasashii Yoake — TV Size (the ending theme), The World, Key of the Twilight, Fake Wings, Aura, A Stray Child, and the incredibly sexy opening theme Obsession - TV Mix.

For the most part, the songs have a unique blend of modern rock with an intriguing undercurrent of rhythmic and tribal fantasy music. It's best described as something you can definately dance to if you were at a Renaissance Faire. The rest of the pieces are a bit slow, but make very pretty background music.

All in all, this is a great piece for any Otaku's collection. The only real downside to this CD is that it'll put you back around $30 dollars if you can find it. However, it's definately worth trying to track down.

Happy hunting! Ganbatte Ne! ^_^
