Sweets ... lots and lots of sweets. What can I say? — Count D has a major sweet tooth. The catch? A few simple rules to follow — break one and Count D will not be held responsible for the results be they death or worse!
This is one of the most frightening, thrilling, and fun stories of the horror genre. It will send shivers down your spine, then turn around and make you laugh, all with an serious underlying story. There are even a few hints at other stories (like Gremlins) which only add to the enjoyment of reading this manga. The art is breathtakingly beautiful — a perfect mix of grace and gore. It has an exotic quality that fits just right with the story.
In many ways, I wish there really were such a place and such creatures, but as this story points out it is not only easy to give in to the temptation to break a rule, but the consequences are dire! However, you must give in any and every temptation to read this manga as soon as possible. Petshop of Horrors is a masterpiece!
