Translator: Grade: 9 Go Nagai has a brilliant flair for horror. This fourth DVD of The Devil Lady is the most hair-raising thus far. The beasts are being organized, and Jun is losing all human ties ... her human soul itself has become jeopardized! Jun must come to grips with herself before it's too late ... for her and everyone else.
The gore has been kicked up a notch and the beasts are playing dirty. That makes for some wonderfully horrific battles. The story has become increasingly intersting, and if you haven't been hooked by it already, you will be after this DVD. Jun is a fascinating character, and one that the viewer soon becomes emotionally attached to. Rarely has the human soul been portrayed so well — for good and bad.
Both the sub and the dub are excellent. If you usually watch only one, try the other with this anime as both country's voice actors really capture their characters. Go Nagai's The Devil Lady is a genuine horror anime, and as such, it should be a must-watch for anyone who loves something dark.
