Credits Grade: 7 Gold Digger is such a wonderful series. Fred Perry has created a wonderful world of humans and furries with martial arts skills that put others to shame. In this issue Gar, Luan, Carla and Ryan enter an U.F. (Ultimate Fighters) Exhibition. While qualifying, they are introduced to Mistress. She's a killer in both looks and skills, with eyes that will scare anyone ... anyone but Gar who congratulates her on her win. Mistress wants to make Gar hers as he's the one person who isn't afraid of her to anyone, but Luan isn't about to let her get away with something like that.Mistress definitely has the moves; that fight was pretty awsome — especially with an outfit that outrageous. There is no way her outfit would have stayed put (or whole) walking let alone fighting. But that and her scar create a "mistress" image if I ever saw one. The art is excellent. It's a bit of eye candy for male and female readers (of any persuasion), and while the characters may be a bit too muscled, this is a story with lots of physical fighting so it's appropriate. Perry really knows how to draw a variety of expressions as well, and that really helps to express thoughts and the characters' personalities. On thing I don't like is that there is seven pages of "preview" for Neotopia. These issues are short so that preview not only took up space that could have been used for more Gold Digger but it revealed quite a bit of issue two for Neotopia.
