Joshua Smeaton came up with a clever way of avoiding stagnation: make one cartoon every day.

Joshua Smeaton's Cartoon Journal is a conglomeration of two months worth of daily cartooning. The individual entries are short, generally four panel representations of what happened that day.

These aren't jokes with punchlines. They're quick snatches of everyday life, with Joshua ruminating on girls, friends, family, and the general well-being of "the girls that live downstairs."

And they are absolutely worth a look.
