Issue three and I'm not sure it's really just issue three. So much has happened — how does Winick do that?

While the first issue was the weakest, I still have trouble with the art. For example, I was glad that there was a balloon (square, really) telling me who a particular character was as they re-entered the storyline. Otherwise I never would have recognized him. I admit to being marginally annoyed that I have to rely on balloon-squares to figure out who is who. And, at the same time, Dalrymple had such a great sense of movement. I can't tell who they are, but I can definitely tell how they feel!

One thing I've yet to mention about Caper is how amazingly, stunningly dense each issue is. The average issue of a comic takes me about 15 minutes to read. Caper takes a good 20 or 25. It's not that it's more difficult to read — oh no. There's simply more to it. There's more plot, more happening, and more twists to sort through.

It's great.
