Credits Writer: Judd Winick Colorist: Guy Major Letterer: Rob Leigh Other Creators: Art: Farel Dalrymple Grade: 8 Issue three and I'm not sure it's really just issue three. So much has happened how does Winick do that?
While the first issue was the weakest, I still have trouble with the art. For example, I was glad that there was a balloon (square, really) telling me who a particular character was as they re-entered the storyline. Otherwise I never would have recognized him. I admit to being marginally annoyed that I have to rely on balloon-squares to figure out who is who. And, at the same time, Dalrymple had such a great sense of movement. I can't tell who they are, but I can definitely tell how they feel!
One thing I've yet to mention about Caper is how amazingly, stunningly dense each issue is. The average issue of a comic takes me about 15 minutes to read. Caper takes a good 20 or 25. It's not that it's more difficult to read oh no. There's simply more to it. There's more plot, more happening, and more twists to sort through.
It's great.
