The March of the Wooden Soldiers continues. So we know Riding Hood is up to something. Or at least Willingham wants us to think she is, and I fully believe it. I'm a sucker for just blindly following along and enjoying the ride, when he's writing. Bigby's a smart fella' — he knows what's what.

I really enjoy the art on this series. I may have mentioned that before, and it bears repeating. It's a strong team and they all work together well to make a great visual experience. I find myself lingering over the artwork in a good way — color, inks, movement ... the whole package is a beaut'. This issue is another fine example.

The one thing I didn't get in this issue is who Kay is. It was a myth or fable reference unknown to me, and Google ain't helping me out. So if you know — don't hesitate to pop me a quick email.

That's what I like about Fables — not only is it easy on the eyes; it often has me running off to learn more about various legends. Fun!
