Eden's Bowy has a spark to it that so many other anime are missing. A whole slew of characters in a complex world bring to life a story where gods are hunted by the God Hunter and humans are divided into three groups: those that live on Earth, and those that live on each of the two Edens floating in the sky. Political corruption and mythical powers abound. Yorn, a young boy searching for his mother, is a God Hunter and his mother is the Princess of Foresight. In this volume, Yorn is forced to fight a second God Hunter. To protect him , Elysiss myst reveal her other self, Seeda — a god. Meanwhile, a coup takes place in Yulgaha and the Princess of Foresight is captured.

These four episodes build to quite a climax. I love the introduction of a second God Hunter — he's much cuter. On top of that, we see that Elyssis has wings ... though we don't actually see her in that form. There are many, many things going on at once and some characters are switching sides so things stay very interesting! Both sub and dub voice actors do a good job. I wouldn't say that either is superb, but they aren't bad by any means. The art is excellent, though the eyes of many of the characters bother me being too big or to glassy. The new God Hunter has the best eyes.

There is some humor, but it's very downplayed. This is a world in upheaval so there's more action and adventure than anything else. The battle scenes are amazing — Hairra gets some new battle armor (and long hair), and the council members show their powers. And when God Hunters fight, the whole earth shakes. Eden's Bowy is more than it appears to be at first look. A really great anime is here to see.
