Credits Grade: 8 The time has come for the Count to exact his final revenge on those who took his life and love - his everything. The past is fully explained as he jars the memory of those he is ruining, and each case is personalize to leave his victims in their own personal hell - still alive. Albert is struggling to understand, and when he learns the truth he seeks to confront the Count, but will he be a match for the beast Gankutsuou?I could not have asked for a better conclusion to this story. Each act of vengence is masterfully unfolded and layers of mystery are peeled away till the base essence of each man is laid bare. The vampiristic qualities are not really touch upon, nor is it clear where exactly Gankutsuou came from, but the monster that is Gankutsuou and how he came to be in this man is fascinating. It's a shame there wasn't any more done (at all) with Albert and Franz's relationship, but there is a very nice ending sequence to show how Albert and his friends end up in the future, once the world has settled down again. The rich art with its psychadelic qualities brings the final crescendo to an even more brilliant climax, and while I absolutely adore the Count's voice in the sub, the dub is also an excellent watch.
