Mr. Brooks is a wickedly smart thriller about a man who is a pillar of the community but has a very bad habit ... he likes to kill people. He doesn’t like to do it, honestly, but he is addicted to it. That’s why he keeps going to the AA meetings.

After two years of not killing, Mr. Brooks is again lured to the kill by his inner voice. This time, however, he is seen by Mr. Smith, who threatens to go to the police if Mr. Brooks doesn’t take him along on his next murder.

I love how the story lines of the characters weave themselves together. Mr. Brooks has a smart script and an even smarter cast. Dane Cook, as Mr. Smith, gives an absolutely awesome performance, my favorite of the movie. William Hurt also gives a brilliant and totally believable performance.

This movie was made independently which gave the writer and director the freedom to push things to the extreme. Some special features include behind the scenes with the writer, on the set, and an in-depth look at the characters. GO SEE THIS MOVIE! You will not be disappointed.
