ISBN: 1-4215-1665-9 Grade: 7 Tsuna is still learning the job of being the latest generation of mob bosses. One of his minion's loyalty is tested by his teacher 'Reborn', but he passes. And just in time as some escapees from prison have banded together and have started taking out students at Tsuna's school. Since this is rated 'older teen' there dont' appear to be any real deaths, but plenty of students beaten up and their teeth removed.
As Tsuna and Reborn figure out who is behind the attacks, they are forced to go on the offense and battle the escapees one by one, but without the use of Reborn's magic bullets which allow Tsuna to become superpowered.
This manga is an improvement over the last volume I read, which was several issues back. Reborn isnt' quite so cutesy here with wacky transformations and I finally see some serious violence, which wasn't really present in earlier volumes. Not that I'm a big fan of violence, but a manga about mob bosses should include some serious carnage.
The man to man battles by the Tsuna's tattered mob family is a long one and does not get resolved anyways.
Better but not quite perfect.
