Ian has always seen spirits. He even has one, Tokage, who follows him and causes problems for him. Only his friend Rin has ever believed him, and he can't tell her how he feels. Then Tokage has Ian killed, takes over his body, and plans to enjoy life partially by making Ian's existence miserable. Ian is now out for revenge, with the help of a powerful fairy and a dead child's body. But there are bigger stakes at play here: the whole world, fairy and human, needs Ian to fight, for evil fairies planning a hostile, murderous takeover.

If you love Angel Sanctuary, Godchild, or The Cain Saga then you will become an instant addict of Fairy Cube. It combines fantasy and magic with the angst and real-life tragedy that Kaori Yuki is known for. Her beautiful art with those chilling, dark eyes combines with a twisted, gripping plot for an absolute page-turner. I litereally could not put it down; I could barely wait to get home to read Volume Two. She treats the characters' ages realistically as well, so you get typical high school drama (and horrible family problems) that inject Fairy Cube with a strong dose of life in all its fear and unfairness. This powerful read simply cannot be ignored!
