Rin now knows that the real Ian is inside the child that has befriended her, and that a much crueler being is inside Ian's body. Together they must figure out how to stop Tokage, but Ian hasn't fused enough with Ainsel, the fairy he made a deal with to get revenge, and Rin is captured. Rin wants to use her capture to help Ian, but things may not be what she expects. There are forces at play that begin to twist the plot.

I was so hooked at the end of Volume One, I rushed home, dropped everything at the door, and read Volume Two. Fairy Cube is a world unlike any other, where fairies walk parallel to humans and can even invade their bodies, casting the human spirits out to wander aimlessly--aware but unseen or dead or eaten by evil spirits. The plot twists in this volume have me intrigued as to where the story is going, especially since it has already evolved past a simple rivalry to plans of world conquest and amassing evil. Kaori Yuki's stunning, dramatic art lends itself wonderfully to a story that's as powerful and brilliant as it is dark and tragic. For those who like the more dramatic, this series is a must have.
