Translator: Grade: 8 Naruto, Sakura, Rock Lee and Kakashi become bodyguards to a Prince and his son on his journey back home. Upon arriving at the Prince's Crescent Moon Kingdom, they find the king has been disposed. Naruto and gang fight to restore the kingdom to the Prince.
Although I am not a follower of Naruto, I am familiar with the long-running TV series as well as the long-running manga.
This is a solid feature-length version of Naruto. Fans will find familiar, yet still fun, ground here. Newcomers to Naruto will also find a lot to enjoy here. Strong fights and strong emotions have always been a hallmark of the Naruto TV show and the movie is no exception.
The only real gripe I have with the movie is that Sakura, Rock Lee and Kakashi don't get a lot of focus outside of the fighting. Even a minor character seems to get more development than them.
The two disk DVD set consists of the DVD of the movie and another with 30 minutes of extras. Didn't get too deep into the extras, but they appear to be good additions to an already good movie.
