Ral is a young man, who is physically bound to a magical creature called a Grad, a powerful Shadow in the form of a Blue Dragon. Ral had been kept in darknes, possessing the shadow since birth and is freed to defend others against evil Shadows.

Ral is very impetuous, so much so he is often a danger to himself and others. He seeks to battle a powerful woman called Opsquria, Queen of Shadows and has enemies as well as allies in his quest.

At first I wasn't to impressed with the concept or the characters. However as I continued to read, I became more interested in the characters and the plot. I have two big problems, however: Ral is exceptionally annoying as an arrogant young man. I've seen so many 'reckless, powerful youth' in manga that I wasn't really looking forward to reading about another one. My other problem is with Opsquria, who is either nude or wearing little clothing and is little more than evil and lascivious. It seems just a bit too much of a gimmick to please fanboys.
