Grade: 9

Bean, the street child rescued by nuns, begins his education. Sister Carlotta marvels at how quickly Bean grasps concepts, yet is naive in other areas. She discovers Bean remembers his life as a baby and how he came to be on the streets.

This is a fascinating and unusual comic. The characterization, dialogue, and plot are very strong and the artwork suits the script perfectly. An combination of high technology and street punk aesthetic. High concept that is down to earth and gritty.
