Credits Grade: 6 This final volume of Gunslinger Girl 2: Il Teatrino, is more of an afterword than it is part of the real story. The majority of it is about how the cyborg girls and their human partners bond as an aftermath to all of the things that have happened to them in the Il Teatrino storyline. There are a couple scenes with how Triela is dealing with her last fight with Pinocchio and how it affected her.Jose is trying to make amends with his past and losing his original partner. This drives Jean slightly insane because it's not something that can easily be accomplished and watching Jose try seems unfruitful and desperate. The DVD episodes are split into two 17 minute segments. The break is a little awkward because this story could have been told easily in one 34 minute one. The extras include 2 text-less closing songs, a cast interview of the voice actor for Hilshire, and some FUNimation trailers. The audio section gives you the choices of English 5.1 surround sound or Japanese stereo. It also gives the options to turn subtitles on or off. This story should have been included with the Il Teatrino stories and not on its own DVD. The story luckily does contain some Gunslinger Girl action, so you aren't totally left hanging. It has the same awesome animation and voice actors as before, so if you purchase this for your collection, you will not be disappointed. The DVD is just a bit short to be a standalone.
