Matt is recruited by a long time family friend to join a special branch of the Army. The Army has a project where they inject a substance called Red Spike into a subject, which is supposed to make soliders faster and stronger. Matt's mission is to capture a fellow solder, Greg. Greg has gone rogue, affected not only by Red Spike, but by surgery that was done to help control his anger. We go back and forth into flashbacks into Matt's history as well as Greg's.

I thought this was an okay issue. I'm not terribly excited by the military science gone awry plot, as I feel like I've seen a dozen variations of it before and this doesn't bring anything fresh to the table in that regard. The characters are also pretty rote. There's the decent guy, Matt; Greg, the nice guy gone bad; the concerned girlfriend and the higher ups who want to cover up the problem.

Aside from one scene at the Lincoln Memorial, there isn't anything here that is memorable or interesting. The artwork, dialogue and plot are all good, but nothing will stick with you after you read it.
