I've been a regular watcher of the Naruto anime series for a while, and I've read the occasional volume of Naruto. So when I picked up volume 52, I realized I had already seen part of the manga already adapted to an episode of the anime, which was a mildly odd experience.

With Lady Tsunade out of her coma and facing another worldwide ninja war, she quickly goes in to action, reluctantly agreeing to send Naruto away on a faux mission to prevent him from being killed or captured.

Naruto, who possesses a nine-tailed demon within himself, encounters Killer Bee, who possesses the eight-tailed beast. Naruto demands that Killer Bee be his mentor. And so begins another chapter in Naruto's training.

Despite having already seen some of the manga adapted to TV, this is an excellent volume and continues to show why Naruto is one of the most popular manga and anime series in existence. Naruto is annoying as well as appealing and is still growing as a character, which is one of the things I like best about the series. The plot, art and character are all strong and continue to interest and excite me.
