The members of the Straw Hat pirate crew have apparently all split up.

Each crew member becomes an expert in different areas, one learns about how to control the weather, another learns how to all about medicine, another cooking. All doing so because they want to help their Pirate Leader, Luffy, who is undergoing his own kind of training.

As had been pre-arranged, the gang meet up at the same location two years to the day they had all went their separate ways. Others are also interested in the reunification of the Straw Hat Crew.

This volume appears to be almost a reboot, although it doesn't seem to accomplish much other than have the characters become ever more devoted to Luffy and they all become a more skilled crew. I did appreciate that the characters got their moment int he sun a bit longer then they usually do.

At least I was able to follow the story pretty well and I was able to decipher the action in the panels, one of my biggest peeves about One Piece is that it is often impossible to tell what's going on, action-wise.

An above-average volume of One Piece and I hope the trend continues!
