The story of the battle over Fish-Man Island continues, with King Neptune and his sons captured by the renegade fish-man, Hody. Hody will kill the King and take over Fish-Man Island, destroying anyone, human or fish-man, in his way.

The strongest part of this volume for me is the plot: I mostly get what's going on, and the emotional beats with the characters are very good. The action is ramping up quite well, and you wonder what is going to happen next.

The weakest part of this volume, and pretty much all of the One Piece volumes I have read, is the artwork. There are too many panels with so much stuff going on that I can barely understand what I'm seeing. Far too busy, and I tend to prefer clarity in the action of any manga I read. They can still be as intricate as these panels are, but I must be able to tell what's going on without having to pour over each line, trying to decipher what I'm looking at.

However, this is typical of One Piece, and it obviously works for many people.
