This issue of SiP was mostly pregnant woman jokes. Sure, I suppose that's what Francine is focused on these days, but I was expecting something totally different. I was expecting more dealing with "the morning after" and more dealing with Tambi and David. And I wanted some more information about the woman at the gym who gave the creepy guy a ride home. But I got what I got.

One question: What does being "white" have to do with anything, Casey (Mr. Moore)? The look on her face is so ... scornful. Francine may or may not be "uptight", and she's certainly a "chick". But would people like her any better if she were a Chinese uptight chick? A Hispanic uptight chick? For some reason that really rubbed me the wrong way — the use of "white" in that sentence. Maybe it's a movie reference that I don't get? It seemed unrelated to the conversation in any way whatsoever. (And if you haven't read it, you probably have nooo idea what I'm talking about. No worries.)

I understand Moore sometimes finds that the story moves in ways that even he hadn't anticipated, so who am I to complain? Whatever the case, he did do his consistently stellar job of drawing facial expressions and body language. And as much as I was tired of "oh Francine is emotional because she's preggers" by the end of the issue, at least it was reasonably written. I just felt like I had been beaten over the head with it by the last page, especially because there were other things that I wanted to know about.
