Virtue Headquarters is attacked by The Agency to get at Alex!

I love Dash's being able to sniff out the tracking device. What I don't love is the weird chest out, back twisted and swayed, elbows bent, hands curled down pose. It's like, for that one panel, they forgot they how anatomy worked; I can't even tell if they were trying to do something sexy. Otherwise, the art has nice body mechanics and anatomy.

Tao is one of my favorite characters now. I love the design, visually, and I love the combination of yin and yang (including a male and female actually becoming one). The only thing that would have made it perfect is if Tao were obviously genderless. As it stands, Tao is very masculine despite being half female. I like the visuals showing them becoming Tao and splitting apart again. There is a tiny inconsistency between the panels where they split (they appear to switch sides as they collapse after splitting), but when they go back together again, they are on the "new" side. Tao's powers are pretty darn awesome. I won't spoil anything, but I'd say this issue is worth picking up just to check out this character.

The battle is nicely done and complex. All the super-powered characters get a moment to shine (and many get knocked down too). Even Alex unleashes a new aspect of his power! I normally see Moth as a good leader, but a crummy fighter. His powers in this issue actually give us a taste of what he can do, and it's he that is able to turn the tide against Tao. I'm not sure why Cross has such a mightier-than-thou complex. His power's aren't original (since his dad had them too). He blames Alex for things that are not Alex's fault (at least not directly; indirectly, they may be because The Agency is after Alex). Along with that, Alex doesn't protest at all. Instead he takes the blame, apologizes (for what?), and heaps more blame on himself. I was just getting to like Alex more in the last issue, but this seems like step back.

The end of this issue gives us a character page on Dash, complete with an old design sketch. Wow. I am so glad they went with the more punk version. The older design is full of dated and bad fashion choices. I love the history on her character, and these info pages in general.

This series had improved a lot since issue one, and it has become something quite entertaining. I hope that the plot continues to become more engaging, but for now the characters and awesome battles will bring me back for more.
