In the last issue Sara Vargas finds herself tangled with an alien bounty hunter, Bob and both are pursued by the evil galactic Syndicate. Sara must say her goodbyes to her friends and family, since she and Bob must flee Earth to save it from the Syndicate. The Syndicate, in turn, recruits Todd, Sara's former boss to pursue her.

All right, this is definitely getting fun. I love the idea of Todd, the fast food manager being hired by the Syndicate to go after Sara and Bob. Now his mean and over-the-top attitude in the last issue makes a bit more sense.

I also really liked how Sara said her goodbyes to her mother and friend. They are understandably shocked, but trusting Sara all the same. Even the appearance of the mean girls, who are questioned by a Man in Black was great. Just seeing his expression as the girls babble on about illegal aliens and other nonsense was the funniest thing I've read in a while.

On the downside, the monologue by General Ben U. Overr was just over the edge into the absurd. The rendering of his southern twang was just a bit too much as well. I don't mind the angling towards the humor, but it's a fine line that could make the comic a bit too ridiculous.

Nevertheless, this is a fun comic and I'm really enjoying the ride.
