Kaguya just wants to know who she is an where she came from. She reads the tarot cards for answers, but they give her none. However, her questions may soon be answered as many mysterious strangers have showed up to take her with them?as a princess! Kaguya now finds herself on a different planet with a living doll as her only companion. She seeks the truth, but will she be able to accept it once it's thrust upon her? Only time will tell.

I finished reading Planet Ladder and discovered I'm in love with it; there's just something about it that really appealed to me, and I immediately flipped back to the beginning and read it again. A princess who doesn't know she's a princess (or anything else about her past for that matter), a mad prince with a mysterious living doll reminiscent of someone from the past, and the warrior Idou are but a few of the interesting characters Yuri Narushima has created for this story. These, along with the elements of sci-fi, fantasy, horror, romance, and adventure, combine with plenty of humor to keep the comfusion and mystery from becoming too overwhelming. My favorite scene has to be when the living doll gives Kaguya a drink of water?and no, I'm not going to say any more than that.

This manga has something for everyone. With great art, an interesting storyline, and characters with some depth to them, Planet Ladder is one manga that deserves to be read. And to think, this is just the beginning ...
